  • In the mid-18th century, Christopher Heller was deeded the land on which the town sits from William Penn in 1742. Most of the early settlers were of German descent.
  • Hellertown was incorporated in 1872.
  • Today, it has over 5,600 people within it's boro limits which is comprised of 2,448 households and 1,571 families.
  • The average household size is 2.29 and family size is 2.85.
  • The median income for a household is $39,651. The Median for a family is $49,604.
  • The town is located 40 35'3"N / 75 20'17"W
  • The town's area is 1.3 square miles.

  • Saucon Township was originally established in 1742 as part of Bucks County.
  • It was divided into Upper and Lower Saucon in 1743.
  • In 1752, county lines were changed, and the large township became part of Northampton County.
  • Both townships were part of Northampton County until 1912, when Upper Saucon became part of Lehigh County. At that time, the new Lower Saucon Township boasted about 200 sturdy inhabitants.
  • Today, it has over 9,880 people and remains the oldest township in present-day Northampton County.
  • There are 3,735 households and 2,890 families residing in the township. The average household size is 2.63 and family size is 3.0.
  • The median income for a household is $59,964 and the median income for a family is 68,457.
  • The township covers an area of 24.3 square miles, through which run 112.29 miles of public roads. It is recognized for its pastoral farmlands, tranquil woodlands, and gently rolling hills.
